First Internet Bank’s Craig Fortner and Justin Karvasky Honored Among Indy’s Best and Brightest

First Internet Bank is pleased to announce that Craig Fortner, Vice President of IT, and Justin Karvasky, Vice President of Finance, have been recognized as finalists for Indy’s Best and Brightest by Junior Achievement of Central Indiana.

The award recognizes up-and-coming talent, and the next generation of leaders in the Indianapolis community. Indiana’s most outstanding young professionals, age 40 and under, were selected across 10 different disciplines.

Mr. Fortner was honored as a finalist in the category of Technology. He is a highly innovative and creative thinker whose understanding of the business allows him to develop effective technology solutions. During his tenure, Mr. Fortner has implemented a framework for technology, project management, support and planning initiatives; been a key driver of efforts to revamp lead management and customer acquisition processes; overhauled document imaging and workflow systems; and expanded business intelligence capabilities.

Mr. Karvasky was honored as a finalist in the Accounting category. He is responsible for the development of complex financial reporting processes required by the Securities and Exchange Commission; the ownership of the corporate budget along with a detailed, comprehensive rolling forecast process; leading the effort to create financial and business disclosures; and the implementation of quality control and audit procedures. Overall, Mr. Karvasky has accepted additional responsibilities as the Bank has grown, and has played a critical role in the capital raising process.

One winner in each of the ten categories was selected at a special awards ceremony held for the finalists on Thursday, November 9th at the Hilbert Circle Theatre.
