First Internet Bank announced today that Keia Walker has joined the bank as Vice President, Community Development Loan Officer. In her new role, she will be responsible for planning, assessing needs and executing business lending strategies for businesses in the Indiana communities that the bank serves.
“Keia’s past success with lending and community development initiatives for local business owners makes her a valuable addition to our team,” noted Tom Smith, First Vice President, Commercial Banking. “This move furthers supports our vision of helping to build stronger, more equitable communities throughout Indiana.”

A seasoned professional, Ms. Walker brings over 15 years of related experience. Most recently, she worked with the Indy Chamber, where she served as Senior Director of Lending for the Business Ownership Initiative. She also held Senior Loan Underwriter and Portfolio Manager positions at the Chamber; her previous background includes roles with Teachers Credit Union in South Bend, IN and LiftFund in Houston, TX. Ms. Walker received her Associate degree from Harrison College.
